Wuwu is a British PLEXI-style distortion pedal. The GERVANA team applied its mature floor-standing pre-amp technology to Wuwu, giving it a warm, dense, and tube-like sound texture. Meanwhile, Wuwu is more than a apedal, which can also be regarded as a 0.5 pre-amp effector. To meet the multi-scenario usage needs of musicians, Wuwu also has the function of being connected to the post-amp of the speaker.
Wuwu is simple yet profound in adjustment. The TONE knob gives Wuwu an extremely wide range of equalization adjustment. LEVEL is the basic volume adjustment. PRESENCE provides additional high-frequency compensation. When this knob is completely closed, the circuit does not perform ultra-high-frequency coloring, and it is suitable for use as an effector connected to the pre-amp of the speaker. BRIGHT GAIN and NORMAL GAIN control the distortion of the corresponding channels respectively. The VOICE position provides different distortion style adjustments, and the CLIP position provides different clipping mode adjustments.
The circuit design of Wuwu ingeniously replicates the jumper play method of the PLEXI speaker. The two knobs, BRIGHT GAIN and NORMAL GAIN, perfectly correspond to the original two channels of the PLEXI speaker. When these two knobs are turned on simultaneously, it is just like paralleling the two original channels. Musicians can adjust the mixing ratio of the two channel volumes by relying on the knobs. When any knob is closed, the corresponding channel is also closed.
The left and right positions of Wuwu provide diverse tone processing and clipping mode switching. On the right side, the VOICE position is like a magical magician, presenting you with various overload style processing methods and different distortion pre-equalization processing methods. The top position, STAND, is like a steady British gentleman, adopting a moderate British distortion processing method, showing the classic British style. The middle position, ORIGINAL, is like a superlative companion. Under the strong support of GERVANA's unique audio circuit technology, it is like a flawless mirror, perfectly reflecting the sound signal of the guitar, perfectly retaining the sound characteristics of the dry guitar signal, and magnifying every touch of the fingertip infinitely. The bottom position, STICK, is like a fusion master, ingeniously fusing the audio processing methods of the two positions. With the assistance of the PRESENCE knob, Wuwu has the excellent function of serving as a pre-amp. To enable Wuwu to fully exert its function as a pre-amp and adapt to speakers of various tones, designer Mr. G has designed the high-frequency sound compensation on the PRESENCE knob. Through high-frequency compensation, different speakers can emit a full, powerful, and highly penetrating sound like PLEXI. When Wuwu is used as a pre-amp and connected to the post-amp of the speaker, with the PRESENCE knob appropriately adjusted upwards, an outstanding tone with a pre-amp texture can be output. When Wuwu is used as an effector and connected to the pre-amp of the speaker, it is recommended to turn off the PRESENCE knob and appropriately adjust the TONE knob.
